Carbon Steel Floor Plate

Also known as a four-way plate, with raised lug pattern it is designed to provide skid resistance while reasonably easy to clean and maintain. Not usually used as the main stress carrying member, mechanical properties are not specified.

Running board steps, floors, walkways, platforms, cover plates, stair treads, hatch covers, trench covers, truck runways, and conveyors are some typical applications.

How To Measure:

T (Thickness) X W (Width) X L (Length)

  • Carbon .10/.25
  • Manganese .30/.70
  • Phosophorus .05 max
  • Sulphur .05 max
Mechanical Properties:
  • Tensile Strength = 60,000 PSI
  • Yield Strength = 33,000 PSI min
  • % Elongation = 22 % min
